Specialist Hygiene Technician – Rentokil Initial

We are currently seeking a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join our dedicated team at the Croydon branch, covering the South West and South East London. No prior experience is required—we provide comprehensive, industry-leading training.

The Hygiene Technician Role
You will provide a wide range of hygiene cleaning services across different environments, including:
- Biohazard cleaning
- Flood water damage restoration
- Infection control
- Police/prison cell cleaning
- Sharps removal
- Trauma & crime scene cleaning
- Technical cleans: Factories, high-level, and silo cleaning (all with fully trained support)
Key Responsibilities
- Work reactively in a fast-paced environment—roles can change weekly
- Form part of an on-call rota (paid at an enhanced rate)
- Offer technical advice to customers when required
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional image
Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Hold a valid UK full driving licence for over two years, with no more than six penalty points
- Be self-motivated, reliable, and proactive
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
- Show flexibility with working patterns to support business needs
- Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- DBS check may be required for certain roles
