About the Role

Humdinger is looking for a motivated and hands-on Hygiene Supervisor to join our team at our Heckington (Sleaford, Lincolnshire) Nut Snacking site.

This role would suit someone with experience in food manufacturing hygiene who is ready to take the next step in their career, or an existing hygiene supervisor looking for a new challenge. We are seeking an individual with strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to food safety, and the ability to coordinate people and hygiene activities effectively.

As Hygiene Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining high hygiene standards across the site, ensuring cleaning activities are completed safely, effectively, and in line with customer, legal and company requirements. Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the hygiene function, support compliance activities and help develop a positive hygiene culture throughout the factory.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll spend time on the factory floor:

  • Supporting the Hygiene Operatives.
  • Verifying standards.
  • Resolving issues.
  • Providing hands-on cleaning support where required.

Position Type & Hours

**Closing Date: 10/07/2026

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily activities of the Hygiene Team, ensuring cleaning schedules are completed effectively.
  • Support, train and coach Hygiene Operatives to maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Carry out hygiene inspections and verification activities across production and warehouse areas.
  • Ensure hygiene documentation, cleaning records and compliance checks are completed accurately.
  • Support preparation for customer, retailer and third-party audits.
  • Manage hygiene chemicals, COSHH requirements and cleaning equipment.
  • Coordinate pest control, contractor activities and associated corrective actions.
  • Investigate hygiene-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor hygiene stock levels and order consumables as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure food safety standards are maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
