Saturday Hygienist / Therapist – College Street Dental & Implant Clinic

(Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset)

We’re looking for a motivated, patient-focused Hygienist/Therapist to join our growing team at College Street Dental & Implant Clinic on Saturdays.

Due to increased patient demand, practice growth, and extended opening hours, this is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking extra hours in a supportive, high-quality dental practice.

The Role

A part-time/saturday-only position (with potential for additional hours) in a private practice with a small NHS contract.

You’ll work alongside a fully supportive senior team in modern surgeries and state-of-the-art equipment, treating a high volume of patients with excellent demand.

  • Location: Central Burnham-on-Sea, M5-accessible with nearby parking
  • Flexibility: Focused on Saturdays but with potential for more hours as needed

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out scale and polish, oral hygiene instruction, and general periodontal care
  • Assisting in preventive dentistry, including fluoride treatments and fissure sealants
  • Supporting the practice in delivering high-standard dental therapy
  • Collaborating with dentists and support staff to enhance patient experience
  • Adhering to segued protocols, maintaining sterilisation and safety standards

Requirements

  • Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • NHSHPC certification or ability to achieve this
  • Experience in private/hybrid practice is desirable but not essential
  • Advanced-reliability and enjoyment of patient interaction
  • ** Knowledge of record-keeping** ( systems like Optix or Dentrix is a plus)
  • Committed work ethic and proactive approach
