We are now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic clinician-educator to take on the role of Simulation Lead.
About the Role
This is a key leadership role responsible for the development, delivery, and quality assurance of simulation-based education across the HYMS curriculum. You will lead the implementation of our established simulation strategy, ensuring students develop the professional skills, values, and behaviours required for modern NHS practice.
Working closely with programme leads, assessment leads, academic colleagues, and NHS partners across our region, you will lead ongoing work to embed simulation within the curriculum, ensuring alignment with PSRB requirements and maintaining a coherent, integrated learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of simulation-based education across the MB BS programme
- Ensure simulation aligns with curricular outcomes and enhances student learning and preparedness for practice
- Act as the central point of expertise for simulation within the School
- Collaborate with clinical partners and academic teams to integrate simulation into teaching
- Contribute to teaching, assessment (including OSCEs and OSLERs), and curriculum development
- Provide leadership in faculty development, including training educators in simulation methods
- Contribute to relevant postgraduate taught programmes
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement activities across the programme
About You
We are looking for a motivated clinician with a passion for medical education and innovation. You will bring:
- Registration as a UK healthcare professional and current clinical experience
- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate healthcare learners
- Expertise in developing and delivering simulation-based education
- Strong understanding of contemporary medical education principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Experience in educational leadership, postgraduate teaching, or formal qualifications in medical education would be advantageous.
