IAM Analyst
Certified Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst – Cirencester

The Role
As Identity Access Management (IAM) Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the organisation’s identity governance framework.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and safeguarding secure access to systems and applications via IAM processes and technologies.
- Partnering with IT and security teams to uphold compliance, protect sensitive data, and ensure the right personnel have access to the right systems.
Core Duties
- Administer and support IAM tools: SailPoint, Adaxes Active Directory (AD), Entra AD.
- Implement and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee user lifecycle management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access review processes.
- Collaborate with Technology and Security Teams, particularly the IT Access Administration group, to enforce robust role-based access control (RBAC).
- Troubleshoot IAM issues and resolve them promptly.
- Support audits and compliance documentation related to identity and access management.
- Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and industry best practices.
- Advise the IAM Technical Lead on solution design and strategic improvements.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a proactive IAM Analyst who combines technical expertise with a security-first mindset. Your work should reflect an understanding of how identity and access management fit into the broader organisational landscape—and how best to balance security with a seamless user experience.
Essential Criteria
- Deep understanding of IAM concepts, standards, and operational practices in a corporate environment.
- Proficient user experience with tools like SailPoint, Active Directory (AD), Entra AD, and Adaxes.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to IAM.
- Mastery of role-based access control (RBAC) and principle of least privilege.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication capability, fostering collaboration within and across teams (Identity Team, IT, Security, Project/Programme Managers, Architects).
- A considerate approach in designing user experiences.
- Commitment to security and compliance (e.g., demonstrating relevant governance awareness).
In technical fields, formal education is often a valuable milestone, but we also place the same value on relevant career experience. A degree in a related field (Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent) is desirable but not strictly necessary if equivalent experience exists.
Desirable Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIAM, CISM candidates would be of interest).
- Prior experience with cloud-based IAM solutions and integrations.
- Developments in privileged access management tools and techniques.
