IAM SME/Technical Analyst
IAM SME | Technical Analyst | Global Banking Organisation
📍 Location: London
📅 Work Arrangement: 4 days a week in the office
💰 Salary: £690 per day inside IR35, 6-month contract
About the role:
A Senior Techno-Functional SME operating across IAM, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Cloud, and Data Security (Varonis). Acts as a bridge between business, cyber security, and engineering, driving identity-led security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse and translate business and security requirements into IAM and Cloud Security solutions.
- Support the design and enhancement of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including:
- Identity Lifecycle Management (JML)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Conditional Access
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Identity Protection.
- Define IAM requirements across Azure, AWS, and SaaS environments, implementing:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Zero Trust
- Least privilege and privileged access controls.
- Perform:
- Gap analysis
- Impact assessments
- Remediation of security control weaknesses.
- Support the secure onboarding of applications and SaaS platforms within hybrid identity environments (AD & Entra ID).
- Contribute to data security and access governance initiatives using Varonis, including:
- Data classification
- Access monitoring
- Auditing.
- Support:
- UAT
- Solution validation
- Implementation, ensuring alignment with business, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure consistent identity, access, and data governance across:
- AD/LDAP
- HR systems
- Enterprise applications.
- Support:
- Access governance
- Separation of Duties (SoD)
- Regulatory compliance and audit remediation activities.
- Work closely with Security, Risk, Engineering, HR, Data teams, and Project Managers to deliver secure IAM solutions and successful project outcomes.

Key Skills/Experience:

Extensive experience as a Techno-Functional Analyst / IAM SME within Financial Services.

Strong expertise in IAM.
-
Solid knowledge of:
- Core IAM and Cloud Security principles.
- Cloud (Azure, AWS, SaaS) and hybrid IAM environments.
- Conditional Access
- PIM
- SSO
- Federation.

Varonis or similar data security tools.
-
Understanding of: - Data security initiatives - IAM integrations and enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of regulatory and audit requirements in financial services.

Cloud Security (Azure/AWS Security).
-
CISSP, CISM, or IAM-related certification preferred.
