The Role
As an IBA Account Handler, you will play a key role in the Bureau IBA team, providing accounting administration support for specified Business Units within the Hyperion Insurance Group. Your primary focus will be on ensuring cash matching, account reconciliation, and timely resolution of settlement queries. This role requires excellent attention to detail and a dedication to delivering a comprehensive service while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and leading workloads to meet team and individual goals.
- Providing management information and contributing to project work when required.
- Completing cash matching tasks and releasing Bureau delinked transactions.
- Processing relevant entries on Group company IBA systems.
- Balancing accounts with Lloyds, LIRMA, and ILU markets.
- Resolving settlement queries efficiently and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Keeping informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact your role.
- Developing positive relationships with Business Divisions, suppliers, and markets.
- Responding to internal and external client requirements in a timely and professional manner.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as an IBA Technician within the insurance market.
- A proven understanding of insurance processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret financial data.
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to prioritise optimally.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate closely with stakeholders.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual who works well within a team.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English (crucial).
- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT) are desirable but not crucial.
