Senior IBA Accountant

London (4 days in office)
Up to £60,000 + benefits

We are supporting a growing, internationally recognised reinsurance business in their search for a Senior IBA Accountant to join their London-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong global presence, offering exposure across both UK and overseas finance operations.

Your new role

You will play a key role in managing the day-to-day IBA and client money activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong operational control across the business. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, this role offers both hands-on responsibility and the chance to influence process improvements within a growing finance function.

  • Ownership of IBA processes including cash allocation, insurer settlements, and client money management
  • Performing and reviewing reconciliations across client money and insurer accounts
  • Supporting and contributing to Client Money Calculations in line with FCA CASS 5 requirements
  • Managing aged balances and resolving unallocated cash issues
  • Liaising with brokers, underwriters, and internal finance teams across UK and overseas offices
  • Supporting audits and maintaining strong financial controls
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements within IBA operations

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience within an IBA / Insurance Accounting role
  • Background within an insurance broker, MGA, or reinsurance environment
  • Confident managing reconciliations, settlements, and stakeholder queries
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
