Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for navigating the complexities of Insurance Broking Accounts? A leading global insurer is looking for a proactive IBA / Credit Control Technician to join their high-performing finance team.
This is a dynamic opportunity for a focused individual to manage a diverse portfolio ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance across all transactional activity.
As an integral part of the Credit Control function, you will take ownership of a dedicated ledger, managing the end-to-end settlement process. You will be responsible for resolving technical queries, ensuring liquidity through diligent debt recovery, and maintaining the highest standards of client money protection.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Debt Recovery: Manage and chase outstanding debts from brokers and third parties to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize aged debt.
- Portfolio Management: Act as the primary finance contact for a specific portfolio, providing regular updates on account status and settlement risks.
- Technical Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex queries related to premiums, commissions, and taxes, ensuring a "right-first-time" approach to reconciliation.
- Cashbacks & Allocation: Accurately process cashbacks and ensure the timely and precise allocation of incoming funds against the ledger.
- Statement Management: Produce and reconcile monthly broker statements to ensure transparency and accuracy across all managed accounts.

Experience Required
- Sector Expertise: Proven experience within an IBA or Credit Control function within the insurance industry
- Analytical Rigor: A proven ability to produce consistently accurate work and manage high-volume data under tight settlement deadlines.
- Communication Skills: A confident communicator who can be firm yet professional when chasing debt and collaborative when working with underwriters.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in insurance-specific accounting software and intermediate Excel skills.
