About the Role

We are looking for an experienced I&C Cabling Engineer to manage and supervise all aspects of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabling and electrical design for the Hinkley Point C project, a landmark British nuclear power initiative.

Our passionate I&C team needs a dedicated engineer with industrial and nuclear cabling expertise to ensure consistent, high-quality design and execution. You will act as the technical liaison for electrical and I&C interfaces, overseeing all aspects of cabling studies, design collation, and supplier interfacing.

Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Review and consolidate electrical, I&C cabling, and supplier inputs to ensure design alignment and compliance:
    • I&C Engineers (specialising in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and loop diagrams)
    • Suppliers (cable routing, conduits, sensors, and actuators)
    • System Engineers (HVAC, fluid, and electrical systems)
  • Perform consistency checks on I&C and electrical data to identify discrepancies; manage design changes and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain Input-Output (I/O) Lists and interface documentation for turnkey contracts.
  • Design and validate:
    • Cable routing and sizing
    • Loop connections for stability and safety
  • Monitor supplier feedback maturity, guiding follow-ups on design updates, interface issues, and contracts.
  • Liaise with installation teams to ensure installation plans reflect accurate and compliant designs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
