I&C / Electric Metering Engineer – Permanent Field Role (London)
RecruitME is recruiting for an experienced I&C Metering Engineer or Electric Metering Engineer to join a leading smart energy and metering business in the UK.
About the Role
This is a permanent, field-based position covering Central London, working across commercial and industrial customer sites.
Ideal candidates may include:
- Experienced I&C Field Metering Engineer
- Three Phase Metering Engineer
- AMR Metering Engineer
- Half Hourly Metering Engineer
- Commercial Metering Engineer
The role suits professionals with strong customer-facing skills and a solid understanding of electrical metering systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain Low Voltage & High Voltage Code of Practice meters
- Conduct communication testing for meters and loggers
- Restore metering communications where required
- Retrieve metering data & reports
- Provide customer-facing support for commercial/industrial clients
- Coordinate with operations, delivery & team leads
- Ensure safety compliance & adherence to company procedures

About You
Candidates should demonstrate:
Essential Skills & Qualifications
✅ Proven experience in electrical metering ✅ Familiarity with modern metering solutions ✅ NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent ✅ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations compliance ✅ City & Guilds recognised qualification ✅ Strong verbal & written communication ✅ Proficient IT & digital systems ✅ Experience with meter programming software ✅ EUSR registration up to Three Phase Whole Current
