IC Validation Engineer – Electro-Optical Sensors (Edinburgh)

Our client is one of the world's most respected semiconductor manufacturers, serving hundreds of thousands of customers across automotive, industrial, and smart-device markets. They are recruiting an IC Validation Engineer with expertise in:
- Mixed Signal IP Validation
- Top-Level System Validation
About the Role
In this position, you will:
- Develop and execute validation plans for IP blocks and subsystems
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure successful IP validation
- Conduct testing, simulation, and analysis to verify functionality and performance
- Debug design and performance issues and communicate findings to the design team
- Develop automation tools and scripts to enhance validation efficiency
- Support the successful tape-out of analog IP blocks

Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A BSc / MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Several years’ industry experience in mixed-signal IP validation
- A strong understanding of circuit design and validation methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (LTspice, eDesignSuite)
- Proficiency in Python and Perl for automation and scripting tasks
