Position Overview

Location:Totton, Southampton office Primary work mode: On-Site (5 days)

The Inside Sales Telesales role supports the external Sales Team with lead generation, prospecting, and B2B sales for new and existing clients. The core goal is to generate new business opportunities, build customer relationships, and meet sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and target potential customers across industries for HVAC and Process Cooling B2B lead generation
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Customer Care Teams, and Internal Sales to develop and execute sales strategies
  • Conduct market research, track industry trends, and spot emerging opportunities
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline, keeping the CRM system updated with accurate data
  • Partner with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns
  • Conduct outbound sales calls against defined targets

Technical Development

  • Develop knowledge of HVAC and Process Temperature Control Industry, including:
    • Process Chillers
    • Temperature control units
    • Related equipment and installation
  • Build confidence in technical guidance and support for customers to help them select the right solutions
  • Work with sales engineering and project management teams

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Understand customer needs and deliver timely, effective solutions to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Coordinate with sales engineering teams while managing leads and appointments in CRM
  • Foster proactive relationships with Customer Care Teams to enhance the customer experience

Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Create sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform growth strategies
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for improved sales strategies

Internal Compliance

  • Comply with QHSE and Trane Technologies initiatives, including:
    • Risk assessments
    • QHSE training
  • Adhere to the code of conduct and ethical frameworks
  • Use My Learning for professional growth and development
  • Align personal performance with business goals and bonus targets while integrating feedback from customers, stakeholders, and line managers
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as directed by line management

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong people skills with a positive mindset
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • B2B sales, business, or engineering knowledge (an advantage)
  • Team leadership and collaborative work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Experience with CRM systems (a bonus)
  • Right to work confirmed for the application country
  • Holds a valid driver’s licence and ability to drive within the country
