ICT Program Director
# ICT Program Director (Senior Level) – Core and Cloud Networks
About the Role
Our ICT Program Director role calls for a well-rounded and senior professional to lead the delivery of Ericsson CORE Networks solutions, driving large, complex programs for global customers in a highly dynamic, multi-vendor environment. The position requires technical expertise in 5G/4G Core and Cloud technologies to guide engagements from inception to contract fulfilment, collaborating closely with the Key Account Manager team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Core & Cloud Solutions: Design and execute 5G and 4G Core and Cloud engagements for Ericsson’s ICT sector customers—ensuring seamless transition from scoping through delivery.
- End-to-End Accountability: Oversee entire program lifecycle, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and alignment with customer satisfaction and Ericsson’s business objectives.
- Profitability Focus: Optimise program efficiency through AI, automation, efficiency improvements, and innovation in testing/deployment.
- Sales Growth: Drive upsell and new business opportunities, creating proposal decks for additional revenue streams.
- Customer Relationship Leadership: Act as Ericsson’s on-site "agent", fostering trust and loyalty through proactive engagement and local partnership-building.
- Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor global/local teams, applying robust governance, project controls, and continuous improvement to meet targets.
- Change & Risk Management: Identify milestones, risks, and obstacles; propose solutions and secure stakeholder alignment for scope/budget/timeline/quality adjustments.
- Relationship & Knowledge Management: Cultivate strong internal and external networks, capturing and sharing best practices for enhanced delivery.
- Cultural Collaboration: Champion a "one team" ethos, promoting professional growth and fostering an innovative, adaptive mindset.

Key Qualifications
Experience & Technical Expertise
✔ 10–15 years+ in roles such as:
- Program Manager
- Program Director
- Customer Project Manager
- Senior Solution Architect (Core & Cloud delivery required)
✔ Degree in Engineering or related field ✔ Hands-on experience with physical, virtualised, or containerised Network Function delivery ✔ Proven track record in test/deployment automation and AI/GenAI adoption within program delivery
Business & Governance Skills
✔ Proven background in project controls, with a knack for predicting and steering projects to targets ✔ Financial acumen and ability to develop vertex-aligned business cases ✔ Strong risk management expertise, balancing proactive mitigation and agile decision-making
Soft Skills & Mindset
✔ Accountability-driven: Prioritises customer needs while championing Ericsson’s goals ✔ Customer-centric: Positive outlook, eager to mentor colleagues beyond scope ✔ Relationship savvy: Orchestrates harmony between leadership, engineers, developers, support, and sales teams ✔ Innovation + Creativity: Fosters out-of-the-box thinking to advance delivery processes ✔ Certifications preferred:
- PMP
- ICT Program Director (PD) assessment
