ICT Program Director

Senior ICT Program Director – Ericsson CORE Networks

About the Role

We are searching for a dynamic and experienced ICT Program Director to lead the delivery of Ericsson CORE Networks solutions. As a key driver in large-scale programmes, you will navigate the highly competitive, multi-vendor landscape of ICT, ensuring cutting-edge technology is successfully implemented for Ericsson’s customers.

The ICT Program Director plays a critical role within the Key Account Manager team, providing deep technical expertise while owning the overall solution and delivery model of the programme. Responsibilities span from initial project scoping to final contract fulfillment, bridging pre-sales and execution to enhance customer satisfaction and corporate business objectives.


Responsibilities

Core Delivery & Customer Engagement

  • Drive 5G and 4G Core and Cloud engagements from scoping to delivery for Ericsson’s customers in the ICT industry, ensuring comprehensive and profitable solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end program delivery, safeguarding continuity from pre-sales to post-delivery, and actively improve top and bottom lines while aligning with customer satisfaction and Ericsson’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of program objectives, adhering to Ericsson’s contractual and operational excellence standards.

Program Profitability & Innovation

  • Boost program profitability through continuous efficiency improvements, reuse of assets, AI integration, and automation.
  • Lead upsell and program add-on sales initiatives to unlock additional revenue opportunities.
  • Develop solution and scope proposals for new and upsell engagements, leveraging commercial and technical insights to drive journeys.

Strategic Customer Relationship Management

  • Cultivate a strong Customer Relationship by maintaining a daily presence at the customer site, acting as Ericsson’s on-site "agent" to foster trust, credibility, and alignment between partners.
  • Problem-solve proactively, ensuring customer satisfaction by bridging technical and commercial expectations.

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and empower both local and global teams to deliver on-time, proficiently, and profitably, applying robust governance and project controls.
  • Manage all program milestones, obstacles, and risks, recommending solutions and mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee change management, including revisions to scope, budget, timelines, and quality, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned.

Knowledge & Process Optimization

  • Harvest best practices and optimize delivery processes, creating and sharing industrialized knowledge assets to streamline future projects.
  • Foster a "one team" culture and coach team members in professional growth, empowering them to excel.

Key Qualifications

Technical & Leadership Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience as a Program Manager, Program Director, Customer Project Manager, or Senior Solution Architect, with a proven track record in Core and Cloud delivery.
  • University Degree in Engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Extensive experience in delivering physical, virtualized, and containerized Network Function (NF) projects, including test and deployment automation.
  • Ability to innovate by integrating GenAI into program deliveries and ensuring sustainable efficiency gains.

Business Acumen & Financial Savvy

  • Successful experience in project control, with clear visibility into project health, timelines, budgets, and risk exposure.
  • Strong understanding of project management, process engineering, automation, and AI, alongside hands-on financial management.
  • Skilled in business case development and commercial strategy to drive profitability and ensure ROI for stakeholders.

  • High level of accountability, paired with a customer-centric mindset, positive outlook, and commitment to supporting colleagues.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, adept at leading teams across engineers, developers, buyers, sales, and executives.

  • Certified PMP preferred; ICT PD assessment is a plus.
