About the Role

We’re supporting an exceptionally bright and determined young medical student (early 20s) who sustained a high-level spinal cord injury while away from university.

Despite his challenges, he has a positive, driven mindset, is fully engaged in his care, and is fully adapted to live as independently as possible, with strong family support from his fully adapted home in Oxfordshire.

An extraordinary technological twist: He is one of a very small number of people in the UK who have a Neuralink implant, enabling him to control his laptop purely through thought.

This is a meaningful, rewarding role where you’ll help transform his long-term goals—building a genuine professional bond while delivering high-acuity nursing care in a home-based setting.

Clinical Complexity

This is a critical care at-home role requiring an experienced ICU/Critical Care Nurse for:

  • Ventilation via tracheostomy
  • Complex airway clearance and respiratory support
  • Autonomic dysreflexia risk and blood pressure instability
  • Unable to communicate changes in condition at times

Key Responsibilities

  • Observation and clinical judgement are critical
  • Early deterioration detection is essential
  • Must work independently and confidently

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
