About the Role
Identity and access management (IAM) is the central vulnerability in modern enterprise security—and AI needs to understand how and why. We’re partnering with leading AI research labs to develop smarter, security-conscious AI systems, and we need IAM professionals who think like both defenders and attackers.
You’ll shape how the next generation of AI reasons about IAM risks, privilege escalation, and access control by working on realistic, cutting-edge scenarios. Your expertise directly influences how AI models evaluate enterprise security.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
- Analyze IAM, Single Sign-On (SSO), and access control scenarios to uncover weaknesses, gaps, and misconfigurations
- Classify permission issues, privilege escalation paths, and identity-related failure patterns
- Review zero-trust architectures and access control design decisions, providing expert assessments
- Generate and validate realistic identity security scenarios to train and evaluate AI systems
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI’s ability to identify and assess identity threats and propagation paths
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments at your own pace

Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms
- Deemed understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), least-privilege models, and access review processes
- Knowledge of real-world identity failures and attacker exploitation patterns
- Ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts in written form
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have
- Experience with identity platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity, or SailPoint
- Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or security architecture
- Familiarity with cloud IAM models (AWS IAM, GCP, Azure RBAC)
- Experience writing security documentation, threat models, or access control policies
