Job Description
Identity and Access Management Product Lead
Grade – D17
Contract – Permanent
Location: Bupa Place (M50 3SP) or Angel Court (EC2R 7HJ) or Staines (TW18 3DZ)
Hybrid working: 1 day per week in the office
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: From £67,000 per annum, depending on experience
Benefits: Role-specific bonus of 10% MBS

Role
The Identity and Access Management Product Lead is a leadership position with a strong background in delivering IAM products, working across the Bupa Global, India and UK (BGIUK) Market Unit. Reporting to the Head of IAM and Design, The IAM Product Lead is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the BGIUK’s IAM product portfolio. This includes Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Certificate Management, Secrets Management, and Keys Management. The role bridges security, technology, and the business, ensuring IAM capabilities are delivered as products that are secure, compliant, scalable, aligned to business outcomes and regulatory requirements.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
- Own relationships with IAM technology vendors and strategic partners
- Drive continuous improvement / optimisation through retrospectives, automation, standardisation, and self-service capabilities
- Provide visionary leadership, inspiring and motivating colleagues while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
- Establish metrics to measure and improve the performance and security of IAM, ensuring they meet the needs of both the business and regulatory standards.
- Influence policy and strategy at the organisational level, ensuring that IAM remains a core component of security planning and performance management.
- Translate security and business requirements into clear product capabilities, features, and backlog items
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Security, IT, HR, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Business Units, Ability to present and influence stakeholders at Executive level.
- Ensure IAM products support compliance with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, SOX, GDPR, internal audit requirements).

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or specific IAM certifications, SAFe, Scrum Product Ownershared
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or identity management roles, with at least 5 years in a Product
- Strong understanding of:
- Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).
- Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- Secrets, keys, cryptography and certificate lifecycle management.
- Experience operating in regulated or large enterprise environments.
- Ability to translate complex security concepts into clear product outcomes.
- Experience delivering IAM in a product operating model.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and cloud-based IAM architectures.
- Experience with IAM tooling such as SailPoint, CyberArk, Beyond Trust, Fortanix, Venafi, or equivalent.
- Exposure to audit, regulatory, and risk management processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
