The Edinburg Center is always looking for talented people to join our team. Our Outreach Counselors enjoy a competitive salary and an amazing benefits package including 3 weeks of vacation, 12 paid holidays, 12 paid sick days, and 3 personal days. Who You Are:

A compassionate, energetic, and team-oriented professional who enjoys working directly with youth and families in community settings. You have experience supporting children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral challenges and are committed to helping them build skills and achieve success at home, school, and in their communities.

Qualifications Include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with youth, OR an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience working with youth
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including afternoon and evening availability
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

What You Will Do:

  • Provide direct one-to-one strength-based support to youth in their homes and communities
  • Coach and train youth in daily living, social, and communication skills
  • Support clinical goals that improve emotional, behavioral, and family functioning
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Clinicians, Care Coordinators, Family Partners, Occupational Therapists, and Young Adult Peer Mentors
  • Participate in treatment planning and review meetings
  • Engage in case management activities and maintain communication with providers and support systems
  • Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with program standards
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Utilize person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches in all interactions

Who We Are:

The Intensive Home-Based Therapeutic Care (IHBTC) Program is part of The Edinburg Center's Children's Mental Health Services Division. Our multidisciplinary team partners with youth and families to provide individualized, community-based support designed to help children thrive in their homes, schools, and communities.

The Edinburg Center has a more than forty-year history of serving individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, brain injury, and autism throughout the community. Our team is made up of clinicians, nurses, behavior specialists, peer specialists, direct care professionals, and many others who are passionate about making a difference.
