Designbytouch Ltd. specializes in toy design for children of all age groups, creating products that appeal to a wide range of interests and play styles. The team supports complete project lifecycles, from brainstorming and concept development through sketching, rendering, animation, and CAD for manufacturing. Working with leading global toy manufacturers, the company delivers creative, high-quality design solutions that meet commercial and user needs. Designbytouch operates remotely with its hub in the UK.
Role Description
This is a full-time role creating concept sketches, character designs, and visual assets for toys, supporting projects from initial ideas through to production-ready artwork. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing digital illustrations
- Refining drawings based on feedback
- Preparing graphics for presentations and CAD workflows
- Collaborating closely with designers and project teams

The role involves interpreting creative briefs, maintaining brand and style consistency across product lines, and preparing artwork files suitable for rendering, animation, and manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in traditional Drawing and Painting skills, with the ability to visualize characters, environments, and products.
- Proficiency in Digital Illustration tools and techniques, including industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent).
- Experience in Graphic Design and Graphics creation, including layout, color, and typography for product and presentation materials.
- Ability to translate creative briefs into clear visual concepts and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant illustration and design work, ideally including character, product, or toy-related projects.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary design teams.
- Relevant education or training in Illustration, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
