Bank Imaging Assistant – Sevenoaks
Location: Sevenoaks Medical Centre, TN13 2JD
Contract: Bank – Zero Hours Contract
Hourly Rate: £13.20 per hour + Holiday Pay
Hours: Between Monday and Saturday, shifts between 8:00am – 8:00pm

Role Overview
At Sevenoaks Medical Centre, part of KIMS Hospital, we are committed to delivering healthcare at its best. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Imaging Assistant to support our Imaging team in delivering exceptional patient care in line with the KIMS vision and clinical strategy.
This is a rotational role, providing both clinical and administrative support across ultrasound, mammography, MRI, CT and cross-sectional imaging. You will play a vital role in ensuring patients feel supported, informed and cared for throughout their imaging journey, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, dignity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients before, during and after imaging procedures, ensuring comfort, dignity, privacy and reassurance at all times, while helping to reduce anxiety and promote independence.
- Assist Radiologists, Radiographers, Mammographers and the Imaging team with diagnostic and interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, FNAs, ultrasound-guided injections and mammography stereo procedures.
- Provide hands-on support within MRI and CT lists, helping ensure smooth patient flow and efficient running of imaging sessions.
- Use Compucare, RIS and PACS systems safely and accurately, maintaining clear, confidential and up-to-date patient records.
- Champion infection prevention and control, contribute to continuous quality improvement, maintain clean, stocked and safe working environments, and work in line with KIMS policies and procedures.

About You
You will be an empathetic, resilient and motivated individual who consistently demonstrates KIMS values. You will take ownership of challenges, act with integrity and honesty, and show a calm, constructive approach in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging clinical environment. A commitment to personal development and continuous service improvement is essential.
Essential Criteria
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in health and social care
- Have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Imaging Assistant in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
- Have a caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach with a genuine interest in delivering high-quality healthcare
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Criteria
- Have knowledge of radiology workflows and systems such as RIS, PACS and Compucare
