Imaging Solutions Consultant
Job Description
Canon UK are looking for a field based Imaging Solutions Consultant (ISC) to serve as the technical authority and strategic enabler across Canon’s total imaging portfolio including stills and video cameras /lenses plus associated accessories and SDKs.
This role combines deep product expertise with commercial insight to drive sales, customer engagement and market impact. This role also majors in providing presales consultancy to both business to professionals and business to business customers by ensuring they have the knowledge needed to integrate any Canon imaging solution into their personal or business workflow. In addition, the role will provide training, event leadership and collaboration across the consumer and business teams aligned to our mid-term plan growth ambitions.
This is a field role and we are open to candidates locations around England
Responsibilities
As our Imaging Solutions Consultant your key responsibilities will be to:
- Participate in customer meetings to provide technical expertise and solution design to support B2B sales either direct or indirectly, this will include demo’s, event planning and working with our channel partners
- Conduct regular channel partner visits to assess training needs and deliver in-store support.
- Plan and execute event strategies including collaborating with the events planning coordinator to ensure event logistics align with strategic goals and budget allocated.
- Support the creation of tender documentation and an information library with relevant product and technical input ensuring integration information and use of SDKs is highlighted
- Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of all Canon’s imaging products with strong video first knowledge
- Develop a working knowledge of Canon’s print portfolio to support cross-category events and customer engagements when required.
- Create and update training materials, including presentations, guides, and e-learning content.
- Deliver live and virtual training sessions to internal teams, partners, and customers some of which could be paid.
- Collaborate with Channel marketing professionals, B2B/Pro Segment Managers, and the Live Events Manager to define technical requirements for large-scale events and B2B lead generation programmes.
- Lead the design and execution of Canon’s technical footprint for large events, including demo zones and workflow integration. Coordinate kit delivery, setup, and testing to ensure readiness and act as on-site technical authority.
- Plan and execute product demonstrations at trade shows, events, and customer sites.
- Collect and report on lead generation, training or event data to assess effectiveness and inform future planning.
- Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform product positioning and messaging, integration and workflow development

Qualifications
Key Skills and Competencies
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and expertise
- Proven experience in a technical product or solutions role, ideally within the imaging, photography, videography, broadcast, systems integrators or consumer electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of Canon’s imaging portfolio or similar technologies with bias to video first products
- Experience in delivering product training or consultancy to diverse audiences (internal teams, channel partners, customers and especially B2B clients).
- Demonstrated success in supporting pre-sales engagements and commercial tenders.
- Experience in planning and executing customer-facing events and product demonstrations.
- Results oriented and able to demonstrate performance versus targets/KPIs
- Good communication skills

- Clean driving license
- Technical Expertise: Deep imaging product knowledge for both stills and video cameras with the ability to translate features into customer benefits.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenter and trainer.
- Commercial Awareness: Ability to align technical solutions with business needs and sales objectives.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and retail partner teams.
- Event Management: Skilled in planning and delivering engaging, hands-on customer experiences.
- Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.

The Salary for this role is £42k-£45k dependent on experience, car allowance + company benefits
