Immediate Start - Stock and Inventory Manager - £40,000 - £50,000 - Syston

The Role

This Immediate Start - Stock and Inventory Manager opportunity is available for an immediate start with a fast-paced distribution business looking to strengthen its stock management function.

The business is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager who can quickly take ownership of inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and operational processes across a busy warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with operational teams to improve stock performance, resolve discrepancies, and implement best practice across the site.

Working alongside the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy supports exceptional customer service and operational efficiency from day one.

Key responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of inventory accuracy across the warehouse operation
  • Managing cycle count programmes, perpetual inventory, and stock reconciliation processes
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and implementing long-term corrective actions
  • Producing inventory reports and analysing trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Working closely with warehouse operations and the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to improve stock integrity
  • Supporting customer audits and ensuring inventory processes meet operational requirements
  • Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives across inventory management and warehouse processes
  • Leading and developing stock control teams to deliver exceptional operational performance

Key experience

  • Proven experience operating as an Inventory Manager, Stock Control Manager, or Inventory Team Leader within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, stock accuracy, and warehouse control processes
  • Experience managing cycle counts, stock investigations, and inventory reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory reporting tools
  • Experience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
