Job Description Contract: Full time, permanent Team: Private Client Team Office Location: 1st Floor, 95 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7NA, United Kingdom The role: As an Immigration Consultant working under direct supervision, you will support the team in all aspects of case processing, including reviewing and preparing forms, drafting advice emails and support letters, and assisting with the organisation and maintenance of case files. You will have the opportunity to support the team’s Solicitors on case progression and gradually take on client-facing responsibilities as you develop in the role. Strong organisational skills are essential for this role. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy deep analytical work and taking ownership of matters from start to finish, following an initial period of supervision and training. You will join a team that values accuracy, structure and a thoughtful approach to client issues. The caseload is varied and includes high-value private clients, VIP matters and Tech Nation-related applications. There is also the opportunity to assist in Appeals work. What your day will look like: Case Work In straightforward matters, take ownership of cases and drive them to completion with precision, following the team’s standardised methodologies and processes Support solicitors with the progression of more complex matters Managing a portfolio of immigration matters (Global Talent, Skilled Worker, ILR, naturalisation, family migration, visit visas, administrative reviews, appeal prep support). Draft and review application forms for accuracy Prepare detailed initial advice to clients as directed by Solicitors Prepare and file applications with the relevant government agencies Prepare files for billing, check trust payments, and draft/review client engagement letters Conduct legal research and draft/amend legal representation letters to the government agencies. Working Methodology & Case Management Discipline: Immediate organisation of incoming documents File documents in proper order / create and maintain electronic and paper files, cross-referencing them with checklists as appropriate to prepare a revised list of outstanding documents Maintaining a structured, organised case file and progressing all outstanding tasks in a case prior to beginning other tasks, bringing matters to completion Commitment to completion Track deadlines and maintain up-to-date case plans Client & Administrative Support: Liaise with clients, maintaining high levels of service and discretion Maintain accurate client contact information Request documents and follow up proactively Provide simple and timely status updates Extract data in accurate manner Responsible for pre invoice notes and updating case management system Project manage all tasks flowing from a client instruction, organising/planning individual contributions and administrative support to ensure a seamless process Other duties as assigned Contribute to the Firm’s initiatives to enhance its internal and external profile Demonstrate professionalism, quality service and a positive, solution-focused attitude when interacting with colleagues, clients and external partners Participate in the team’s business development and networking initiatives Record time accurately The team: We are a forward-thinking team with strong synergy and rapport. We specialise in assisting private clients with their UK immigration matters, with particular focus on Innovator visas, Global Talent (Tech Nation), Visitor visas, British citizenship, UK Expansion Workers, Appeals, Settlement and complex, discretionary applications. Our clients include ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, investors, artists/creative talent, entrepreneurs and SMEs, C suite executives, students and families. What we are looking for: Essential criteria: UK immigration law experience – ideally including private client experience An understanding of immigration application filing systems with the ability to meet assigned deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity Has high attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all work is carefully checked and maintained to the highest standard Is organised and methodical, able to maintain clear case files, timelines, and checklists, and knows the status of every matter being handled Communicates in a calm, professional, and articulate manner, both within the team and with clients where applicable Works effectively as part of a team, ensuring clear communication, productivity, and mutual support. Can follow instructions from senior staff while demonstrating initiative where appropriate Builds strong working relationships with colleagues, earning their confidence through professionalism, efficiency, and reliability Produces accurate and proficient written communications, including emails, letters, and client documentation Supports the development of colleagues when needed, sharing knowledge and assisting team members Possesses strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage data accurately Demonstrates legal research skills to support casework and advice preparation What we offer: A career at Fragomen will provide you with the opportunity to work in an exciting environment for a broad range of clients, where no two days will be the same.
