Immigration People Assistant
People Services | Handforth, Cheshire | Hybrid role
23.4 Hours per Week (Flexible Working Pattern)
We're open to exploring different working patterns to suit the right person, although ideally we're looking for some afternoon cover on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and helping people. You'll play a key role in supporting colleagues through the visa and sponsorship process, ensuring they receive a seamless experience while helping us maintain the highest standards of immigration compliance.
Whether you already have immigration experience or are looking to build on a strong administration or People Services background, we'd love to hear from you.
Within 12 months, this role will evolve into the wider People Operations Shared Services function and expose you to wider People/HR Operational processes.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting end-to-end sponsorship and Skilled Worker visa administration
- Preparing and managing immigration documentation with exceptional accuracy
- Maintaining audit-ready records and ensuring Home Office compliance
- Building strong relationships with hiring managers, practice owners, and external immigration advisers
- Supporting sponsored colleagues through their onboarding journey, providing guidance and reassurance every step of the way
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, simplify administration, and enhance colleague experience
- Providing reporting, tracking, and insights to support effective workforce planning
Who we're looking for
- Love organisation and have a keen eye for detail
- Enjoy juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
- Are confident communicating with a variety of stakeholders
- Can challenge constructively when something doesn't look right
- Enjoy finding ways to improve processes and make things better
- Want to develop your career within a People/HR environment
Previous experience within HR, People Services, right-to-work checks, immigration administration, or compliance-driven environments would be beneficial, but just as important is the willingness to learn and a passion for delivering a great colleague experience.
