About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Immigration Solicitor to join our reputable legal team. The successful candidate will specialise in immigration law, providing expert advice and representation to clients navigating complex immigration processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting clients through various immigration procedures, including visas, asylum, and residency applications. The ideal applicant will possess strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of current immigration legislation.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate specialising in immigration law.
  • Proven experience handling a diverse range of immigration cases from initial consultation through to resolution.
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills with a track record of achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing immigration law in the UK or applicable jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and accurate legal advice to clients regarding immigration options and requirements.
  • Prepare and submit applications for visas, asylum, residency, and other immigration-related matters.
  • Represent clients in hearings, tribunals, and meetings with government agencies.
  • Negotiate favourable outcomes on behalf of clients while maintaining professional integrity.
  • Keep abreast of changes in immigration law and policy to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Draft legal documents, affidavits, and supporting statements with precision.
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to facilitate successful case resolutions.
