About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team of midwives and play a key role in delivering a comprehensive maternity immunisation service. The post holder will support the provision of routine and targeted vaccinations, including RSV, Influenza, Pertussis, COVID-19 and neonatal BCG, helping to protect pregnant women, babies and their families. As part of the Public Health Agenda, the successful candidate will work proactively to maximise vaccine uptake across the maternity pathway, providing evidence-based information and support to service users.

Working collaboratively with Antenatal Clinic and Community Midwifery teams, they will contribute to the delivery of a responsive, high-quality service that meets the needs of our local population. The role also includes participation in clinical effectiveness activities, including audit, evaluation and quality improvement initiatives, to ensure the ongoing development of safe and effective care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality maternity immunisation service, including RSV, Influenza, Pertussis, COVID-19 and neonatal BCG vaccinations.
  • Provide evidence-based information and advice to women and families to support informed choice and maximise vaccine uptake.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care in line with national guidance, professional standards and local policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Antenatal Clinic, Community Midwifery and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accessible and coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and vaccination documentation.
  • Support the safe management, storage and monitoring of vaccines in accordance with cold-chain requirements.
  • Identify and engage eligible women to improve access to and uptake of maternity immunisations.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues, providing advice and support on vaccination-related matters.
  • Participate in audits, service evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the collection and reporting of immunisation activity and performance data.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and competence through continuing development and training.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and organisational policies at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
