Immunology and Immunopathology Registrar
Position Overview
Training year: 2027 | Duration: 12 months (extended possible) | Requirement: PGY4+ by August 2026
Canberra Health Services (CHS) seeks applicants for a Registrar position in Immunology or Immunopathology, eligible for either FRACP or FRACP/FRCPA dual diploma. Roles are accredited under the Immunology Joint Specialist Advisory Committee (RACP).
About the Department
The Department of Immunology is a tertiary referral service providing:
- Inpatient & ambulatory care for allergy and immune-mediated diseases
- Adult & paediatric outpatient clinics, including:
- Autoimmune disease management
- Systemic vasculitis & inflammatory disorders
- Speciality clinics (e.g. Sarcoidosis, Drug Allergy)

The Immunopathology Laboratory (ACT Pathology) offers a diagnostic service covering:
- Clinical & laboratory immunology
- Autoimmunity, vasculitis, primary immunodeficiency, and allergy testing
Negotiable: Rotation between lab and clinical duties.
Responsibilities
- Clinical & diagnostic training in immunology or immunopathology
- Catering to a broad patient spectrum—adults and paediatrics
- Potential research opportunities
Requirements
- Current: PGY4+ (as of August 2026)
- Eligibility: Training for FRACP or FRACP/FRCPA dual diploma
- Pre-employment checks:
- National Police Check
- Compliance with CHS Occupational Policies (AHS Screening & Vaccination Requirement)

Salary & Benefits
$125,473–$155,223 (pa)
- Superannuation: 12.5%
