Role Details
Location: Axiom Veterinary Laboratory - Manor House, Newton Abbot, Devon, United Kingdom, TQ12 4PB
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, with shifts on a rota pattern between 07.00 - 19.00

About The Role
As a Laboratory Technician in our Immunology department, you will be part of a dynamic, high-throughput diagnostic team.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Sample Processing: Preparing veterinary samples and running both manual and automated tests
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to standards
- Record Keeping: Maintaining clear and accurate records to support the timely reporting of results
- Communication: Acting as a key liaison to ensure smooth information flow between colleagues, managers, and other departments
We value effective communication and teamwork, and full training will be provided to help you excel in this role.
About You
We're looking for candidates who are:
- Confident Communicators: Able to share information clearly with colleagues at all levels and contribute positively to team discussions.
- Organised and Accurate: Capable of working efficiently in a high-volume lab environment
- Energetic and Proactive: Attentive to detail and eager to take initiative
- Natural Problem Solvers: Comfortable with both independent and collaborative work
- Multitaskers: Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent documentation in line with SOPs
- Tech-Savvy: Competent with Microsoft 365
