About the Team
Implementation Consultants (ICs) are vital to Medidata’s success, ensuring Medidata software is configured, implemented, and enabled in compliance with:
- Company standard business processes
- Client requirements
- Good Clinical Data Management Practices
ICs collaborate with Project Managers, functional teams, and colleagues to:
- Deliver implementation/enablement projects
- Provide client training, mentorship, and education
Key Responsibilities
- Software Configuration & Training
- Lead Medidata software implementation, translating client needs into solutions.
- Educate customers on best practices for Medidata’s software.
- Author or refine specifications (e.g., functional test cases for configurations).

Project Management & Quality Assurance
- Support junior team members with client engagements, ensuring quality delivery.
- Communicate project status to internal/external stakeholders.
- Resolve issues collaboratively across implementation/development teams.

Client Engagement & Compliance
- Conduct in-person/remote client workshops.
- Support customers with software enablement, including UAT defect resolution.
- Adhere to industry data standards and Pharma SOPs.

Mentorship & Innovation
- Mentor AICs/new employees and improve internal processes.
- Initiate product/process improvements (e.g., best practices automation).

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with developers, vendors, and Training Group on projects.
- Coordinate resources to meet project timelines and budgets.
Key Qualifications
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Clinical trial expertise: hands-on knowledge of data collection, standards (e.g., ICH-GCP), and statistical prep.
- Proficiency in translating clinical/technical specs into system solutions.
- Working knowledge of software features; ability to train and apply updates.
- Web-based software/platform experience is a prerequisite.
Soft & Leadership Skills
- Strong analytical/technical aptitude (debugging, troubleshooting).
- Collaborative teammate, with mentoring and leadership potential.
- Excellent verbal/written communication across technical and medical audiences.
- Time management/organizational discipline; autonomy and proactiveness.
- Adaptability in a regulatory/process-driven environment.

Experience & Education
- Fluency in clinical trials (minimum 4-year degree in analytical fields preferable).
- Services delivery track record (6+ months consulting correlating to 2+ years preferred).
- Experience with clinical/medical data systems (e.g., Medidata’s ETM/CDMS*) is a plus.
The job requires willingness to travel to offices/engagements.**
