Implementation Consultant Level 3 (Configuration)

# Implementation Consultant Level 3 (Configuration)

We are seeking Pension Consultants to reinforce our home-based Configuration Pension Implementation Team. You’ll join our Implementation Department, where we deliver innovative pension administration solutions for clients of varying scopes, from large-scale blue-chip transformations to tailored bespoke projects. Working across diverse stakeholders ensures a dynamic and varied professional experience.


Responsibilities

  • Gather and interpret client requirements and processes, converting them into seamless system solutions
  • Manage and oversee system configuration and quality assurance
  • Automate calculations to ensure precision and efficiency
  • Lead client implementation projects, ensuring on-time delivery
  • Train and document internal and external users for system adoption
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client queries/technical issues
  • Mentor Implementation Analysts and impart expertise
  • Conduct configuration and testing quality checks
  • Collaborate in technical development, delivering specifications for new/enhanced systems
  • Perform data analysis to review configurations, specifications, and project risks

Requirements

Technical & Sector-Specific

  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage teams, and coach junior roles
  • Deep UK pension expertise: OS understanding of:
    • Pension types (DB, DC, Care, Annuitants) and administration frameworks
    • System implications for stakeholder relationships (member records, trustees, schemes, actuaries, investments)
    • Regulatory oversight in the pension sector (authorities and their roles)
  • Platform proficiency: Hands-on experience with pension/employee benefit tech systems
  • Technical configurations: Knowledge of system parameters and set-up

Analytical & Digital Tools

  • Advanced MS Excel skills to create automated calculators, pivot tables, filtered/sorted databases, and condition-based formulas (IF/nested IF, lookups)
  • MS Access: Capable of building specifications and managing data
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
