Implementation Lead
WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Implementation and Training Lead to join our team at our global Head Office in Prescot (Liverpool).
This is a newly created position within our Technology function, designed for a professional ready to lead our implementation and training capability and support our continued global growth. As we continue to expand at a fast pace, you will lead by example—coaching and developing a dedicated team to ensure our core global systems, specifically LIMS and Job Management tools, are effectively planned and rolled out across our international laboratories.
We offer a dynamic, hybrid working environment, providing the perfect balance of collaboration and flexibility with three days in the office and two days working from home.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and Coach: Manage a team of Implementation Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and providing the mentorship they need to flourish and develop.
- Drive Global Success: Oversee the end-to-end implementation lifecycle for a busy pipeline of projects spanning the globe—from Bolivia to Romania, and Saudi Arabia to Mozambique.
- Establish Excellence: Set and uphold high standards for working practices, ensuring the team is adaptable and follows best-practice governance to deliver consistent results.
- Take Accountability: Manage capacity and plan work against targets, providing clear upward reporting and visibility to senior stakeholders.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to be highly organised with a clear eye for detail and the ability to remain calm and pragmatic under pressure.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Technical Implementation: A strong understanding of technology implementation strategies for core operational software, specifically LIMS and Job Management tools.
- Training Program Design: Expertise in creating and executing comprehensive global training programs and change management initiatives.
- Operational Governance: Knowledge of project governance, risk management, and controls within a structured IT environment.
- Global Delivery: Experience translating roadmaps and business demands into coordinated international implementation plans.
Required Competencies
- Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical team members to support their professional growth.
- Clear Communication: Ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across international functions.
- Accountability: A delivery-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on follow-through and meeting targets.

Required Work Experience
- Substantial Experience: Proven experience in an implementation management role overseeing software deployment in a complex, multi-site, or global environment.
- Proven Track Record: Experience coordinating system rollouts (ideally LIMS) across a global or regional laboratory network.
- Management Experience: Experience leading teams of analysts and coordinating delivery activity across remote functions.
- Demonstrated Ability: Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and resource pressures across a fast-paced delivery pipeline.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Certifications in Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Implementation, or Training delivery are highly preferred.
- PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent Agile certifications are preferred.
