Implementation Lead – Securities Lending

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Implementation Lead – Securities Lending.
HSBC Securities Services (SSv) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic securities services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody services. Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the MSS business to deliver Securities Lending services to clients.
Role Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Leading the Implementation Team in the delivery of Securities Lending related change and new business initiatives from identification and analysis through to successful delivery, by coordinating resources and setting prioritisation in line with the objectives of the business.
- Providing implementation services to the securities lending business, with a specific focus on the onboarding of new clients & borrowers, the application to lending systems of programme parameters and data.
- Coordinating and leading where necessary the response to and resolution of live system issues as they impact the securities lending business.
- Representing HSS interests in relation to Securities Lending Operations activities by participation in business and industry forums and by carrying out the oversight of internal and external suppliers and market counterparties.
- Leading and managing the team with a focus on their performance and career development, including effective career planning, training schedules, structured objectives and motivating feedback through performance management.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Relevant industry experience at team management level in an operations function supporting securities activities, ideally Securities Lending, Collateral Management or Operational Change.
- Strong leadership capabilities including a proven record of inspiring teams and individuals both inside and outside area of defined responsibility.
- Capability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently, coordinating the efforts of others and making effective decisions in order to bring projects and processes to closure at pace.
- A proven track record of translating business strategy into BAU process and prioritisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with the ability to present to and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders, including senior management.
- The highest levels of personal integrity, resilience, drive and ambition.
