The Role: Implementation Manager
Patchwork’s Implementation Managers drive successful project implementations of their software solutions, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients. You’ll need deep insight into client needs, the ability to configure and deliver tailored solutions, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
Primarily focused on Rota implementations, you’ll lead projects while working independently in key phases like proposal creation and product demonstrations. Partnering with Implementation Consultants, you’ll adhere to best practices and internal governance frameworks to meet timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead multiple Patchwork software implementation projects, ensuring adherence to project frameworks, budgets, and timelines.
- Serve as a key point of escalation within the Implementation Team, influencing project outcomes while maintaining accountability.
- DIRECT ClOSE Collaboration with Director of Implementation to strengthen team expertise through improved processes and documentation standards.
- Ensure high-quality project documentation (proposals, timelines,artefacts) internally and externally, utilising templates and promoting best practices.
- Independently craft ** bespoke proposals** and deliver outstanding product demonstrations throughout implementations.

Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate effectively with Implementation Leads and project teams, maintaining strong internal relationships for seamless handovers.
- Skillfully navigate client organisational structures to identify the right stakeholders and achieve implementation objectives.
- Build and maintain exceptional client relationships at all levels—including C-Suite and board members—to drive project success.
- Educate clients on Patchwork solutions’ use cases while pushing back respectfully on unrealistic expectations to ensure project viability.
- Manage external expectations to prevent under-delivery; communicate progress, milestones, and challenges transparently.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, including understanding client procurement practices and internal politics, to protect and optimise relationships.
- Drive solutions—whether through product configuration or Product Team negotiation—to resolve project delays.
Product Knowledge
- Strengthen relationships with Product and Technology Teams to understand product capabilities and future enhancements.
- Deep knowledge of workforce management workflows beyond Patchwork (e.g., bank management, managed services.
- Utilise workforce data to guide clients toward optimal decisions and improve outcomes through implementation.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Patchwork products, supporting clients and users to maximise value.
Research & Innovation
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Evaluate new tools and methodologies to foster continuous improvement across implementations.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven enterprise project management experience (B2B-style) with preferred exposure to Rota/Rostering Implementations, NHS, healthcare, or HealthTech industries within a SaaS environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience coaching, influencing, and earning respect at senior levels.
- Experience developing and maintaining project documentation (PIDs, approaches, timelines etc.).
- Outstanding communication skills: ability to present confidently to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking and analytical ability.
- Competence as an independent and self-starter, comfortable engaging with multiple parties.
- Detail-oriented and tech-savvy, able to adapt quickly to new systems and methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment, embracing its dynamic nature.
Nice to Have
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, CSM, PMI).
- Direct experience or strong familiarity with NHS, healthcare, or healthtech.
- Working knowledge of workforce applications or SaaS platforms.
