Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this document is to help prospective team members better understand the responsibilities for the position of Media Executive at OpenDoor, WPP’s bespoke global operating model for Amazon.

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic candidate to join our OpenDoor team as a Media Executive. This is a Full-Time position based in London. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting WPP’s mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence, and best-in-class service for Amazon across global markets, including XCM (Business Growth division), Prime Video, and Gather’s Relaunch of Routines Media Institute (RMI).
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute AV/Print/Audio campaigns across channels for assigned clients, ensuring deep operational knowledge of these campaigns.
- Handle day-to-day media buying and transaction management, guaranteeing exceptional delivery standard, accuracy, and pace.
- Collaborate in implementation phases by utilising OpenDoor workflow tools to support proposals, prioritizing flawless execution and right timing.
- Plan, optimise, and report on campaign delivery, aligning with strategic campaign objectives and commercial expectations.
- Developing high-quality and precise media plans with strategic insights, backed by actionable recommendations and accurate reporting or proof of delivery.
- Exhibit a profound comprehension of media excellence standards and proactively apply best practices and innovations.
- Work effectively with planning teams, clients, and media partners, ensuring fluid collaboration and transparency.
- Interpret data at multiple stages—** campaign planning, reporting, and strategy**—for agile decision-making.
- Ask the right media-oriented challenges and gather relevant considerations to support successful campaigns.
- Support print and audio investments by aggregating client research, competitive insights, and relevant frameworks.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of media strategies and the business outcomes for each tactic.
- Adhere to instructions diligently to meet client needs.
- Compile case studies and gather insights to inform media partner selection.
- Attend relevant meetings to grasp the product needs, capabilities, expectations, and KPIs.
- Continuously learn metrics critical to assessing product performance relative to client needs.
- Define and align performance measures and KPIs to ensure products maintain excellence against client-agency expectations.

Qualifications
- Experience in media knowledge is highly desirable.
- Ensure financial and commercial accuracy, with emphasis on reconciliation and tasks that bolster net working capital, plus efficient resolution of challenges and discrepancies.

- Apply judgment for efficient time and resource allocation, balancing competing demands.
- Successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently, delivering targets with minimal mistakes.
