VictorianPlumbing.co.uk, the UK's largest bathroom retailer, is seeking a diligent and proactive Imports Assistant to join our busy team at our Leyland Headquarters.
No experience in imports? No problem. While we welcome applications from experienced candidates, it is absolutely not essential. For us, it’s all about your drive, attitude, and core skills—full training will be provided to give you all the tools you need to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing: The Heart of the Import Process
You'll be the reliable hub connecting our global suppliers with our UK operations, ensuring a smooth and compliant flow of goods.
- Documentation Guru: Prepare, organise, and maintain all vital import documents—invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork—ensuring everything is accurate and compliant.
- Customs & Compliance: Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate speedy and hassle-free customs clearance.
- Shipping Coordination: Liaise with shipping companies and freight forwarders to arrange transport and meticulously track shipments from departure to arrival, resolving any potential snags or delays along the way.
- Inventory Integration: Ensure seamless documentation of goods received, keeping our inventory systems up-to-date and accurate.
- Global Communication: Be the main point of contact for international suppliers, following up on orders and promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies to management.
- Problem Solver: Efficiently tackle and resolve issues related to shipping, customs, or damaged/missing goods, ensuring minimum disruption.
