Salary: circa £50,000 depending on skills and experience

Role Description
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering small to medium-sized projects, or defined work packages within larger programmes, that support operational and strategic business objectives. The role coordinates project activities, manages plans, risks, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of technology, business change, and transformation initiatives. Working within established governance frameworks, the Project Manager ensures projects meet agreed cost, time, quality, and customer satisfaction targets while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The role also supports continuous improvement through lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices.
Core Duties
- Manage aspects of the Project lifecycle enabling the Project to meet the needs of customers/users and achieve financial or other targets.
- Provide advice and guidance for effective use of measures and measurement and plans and implements improvements to measurement capability. Contribute to IM&T policies, standards, and guidelines for measurement. Review data collection and storage mechanisms (including automation) to support measurement.
- Support users through transition and change, liaising with project teams, and monitor and report on business readiness, training, engagement, and productivity outcomes.
- Identify stakeholder communication needs and translate engagement strategies into actionable plans and deliverables, serving as a single point of contact to facilitate open communication.
- Manage issues and resolutions, capture lessons learned and use stakeholder feedback to assess engagement effectiveness.
- Utilise methods, tools, and techniques, selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches.

Essential Skills
- Good knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
- HNC / Computer Science Degree) and vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g Prince 2 Foundations / APM).
- Experience of commercial awareness, financial acumen for budget management and cost control.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
The IM&T Project Management Team
The Project Manager role supports the delivery of projects that help the business meet its operational and strategic goals. Working closely with stakeholders, the role helps coordinate project activities and ensures that project plans and outcomes align with business needs.
The position holder is responsible for managing and delivering small to medium-sized projects or contributing to larger programmes by delivering assigned work packages. These projects may involve technology, applications, or business change, particularly in areas related to transition and transformation activities.
