We're looking for a contractor to support our In-Building Design work!

Project Overview

Metricell is looking for an experienced RF Planning Engineer to support the delivery of in-building wireless network design projects using iBwave/Ranplan or equivalent tools.

Working as part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality RF designs for commercial, enterprise and public venue environments. You'll work on LTE and 5G indoor coverage solutions, delivering professional RF planning outputs for customer projects.

This role is suited to an experienced contractor who can work independently and contribute from day one.

Scope of Work

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

  • Designing in-building wireless coverage solutions for LTE and 5G networks, including DAS, small-cell and digital indoor systems.
  • Producing RF designs using Ranplan, iBwave or equivalent indoor propagation modelling tools.
  • Creating coverage predictions, capacity analysis and interference studies.
  • Performing link budget calculations and determining optimal equipment placement.
  • Analysing architectural floorplans and construction materials to model indoor propagation accurately.
  • Designing solutions across multiple frequency bands including 700, 800, 1800, 2100, 2600 and 3500 MHz.
  • Producing detailed RF design documentation, including equipment layouts and design specifications.
  • Working closely with deployment and project teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable.
  • Supporting post-installation validation, optimisation and performance analysis where required.
  • Providing technical input during customer design reviews and project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
