An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior in-house lawyer

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior in-house lawyer to join the legal team of a highly regarded investment management business. Working closely with the General Counsel and senior leadership, you'll play a key role in advising on strategic initiatives, funds and investment management, corporate governance, regulatory developments and a broad range of commercial and transactional matters across multiple jurisdictions. This is a visible role offering genuine influence within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders
  • Support governance across group entities
  • Advise on new business initiatives and acquisitions
  • Partner closely with Compliance and Risk to help drive business objectives while effectively managing legal risk

Requirements

  • Varied workload spanning corporate, regulatory, fund product, investment management and transactional matters
  • At least 5 years’ PQE gained either in a major law firm in the funds, FS regulatory or corporate team or in-house in asset management
  • Strong commercial judgement and a natural drive and curiosity
  • Confidence to influence senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate

  • Proactive lawyer who enjoys working in a small, dynamic legal team
  • Comfortable leading projects and mentoring others
  • Looking for a broad, strategic in-house position with significant exposure to the business
