Role: In-House Counsel Solicitor (5+ PQE) Employer: International luxury e-commerce company Salary: £95,000-£150,000 Location: City of London

Our client, an international e-commerce firm focused on luxury goods, is looking for a confident Senior Associate or higher Solicitor to assist their London based CEO. With subsidiary companies and offices across several continents (with a substantial Asian presence), the firm has a small existing team of junior legal professionals but are looking for a senior team member to assist with the running of all internal legal matters.

Duties within this role include supervising the in-house legal team and supporting the firm in the capacity of a In-house Corporate Governance Solicitor; drafting commercial and finance contracts, handing corporate governance matters, and regulatory compliance, AML, and risk management. An ideal candidate will come from a similar environment, a company that has an e-commerce focus or an Asian presence. Strong business relationships are advantageous and in renumeration the firm is offering a very exciting caseload at a competitive salary!

Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of Corporate Governance matters including commercial and finance contracts, regulatory compliance, international banking compliance, AML and risk management. Assist and direct the existing in-house legal team, providing guidance and support to junior legal professionals when necessary. Working with senior management and reporting to the London based CEO, assisting and advising on a wide variety of international matters. Supporting the development of the office and assisting with office initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience: UK qualified solicitor of 5+ PQE or equivalent qualification. Other levels will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Excellent post-qualification experience in commercial law in an international in-house environment or a top tier private practice firm, ideally with e-commerce or Asian market experience. Experience with commercial and finance contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, AML Strong academic background. Well-developed communication skills with colleagues and members of staff. High levels of attention to detail.
