Rare In-house Employment Taxes & Global Mobility Role

Part-Time – 3 Days a Week

This privately owned international energy business has annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, operating across upstream and downstream sectors. Its global footprint includes Europe, Africa, and Asia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, this newly created specialist role focuses on employment taxes and global mobility. The position requires a commercially focused Tax Manager with exposure to both UK and international tax matters, and you will partner closely with senior finance leaders and external advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employment expenses/benefits reporting
  • Payroll tax withholding (including Social Security) on compensation and remuneration
  • Monthly payroll execution in various jurisdictions in collaboration with external providers
  • Year-end reporting requirements
  • Advice on Employee Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
  • Management of expatriate tax issues
  • Taxation compliance for pension and benefits plans
  • Taxation of business travellers and employment termination benefits
  • Workers’ classification (Employees vs. Independent contractors/External vendors)
  • Handling employment tax audits
  • Advising on global employment tax matters
  • Stakeholder management, including HMRC and overseas taxation authorities

Requirements

  • Minimum ATT qualification, ideally CTA
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Industry experience preferred
  • High level of technical knowledge in UK employment taxes
  • Commercial, hands-on approach to the classification of offshore workers
  • Preferred experience in employment tax for global/emerging market locations
  • Availability for 1-2 days per week in Central London HQ
