Looking for your first move in-house?

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager or Director to join a highly regarded organisation and build an in-house career in global mobility tax.

Working alongside an experienced Senior Manager who knows the business inside-out, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of UK and international mobility issues while being supported to develop your commercial, technical, and stakeholder management skills.

From international assignments to remote working requests, payroll and social security to cross-border compliance, you'll play a key role in helping the business effectively manage its globally mobile workforce.


What You’ll Be Doing

Advising on international secondments, business travel, cross-border, and remote working arrangements.

  • Assessing UK PAYE, NIC, and overseas payroll obligations.
  • Reviewing double tax treaty, substance tax business visit (STBV), and social security positions, including A1 and Certificate of Coverage (CoC) requirements.
  • Supporting the management of permanent establishment and corporate tax risk.
  • Partnering with HR, business leaders, and external advisers to deliver practical, commercial solutions.
  • Supporting global mobility compliance, including shadow payroll and Appendix 4 & 8 reporting.
  • Improving processes, guidance, and reporting for internationally mobile populations.

About You

You’ll need:

  • Significant experience in global mobility tax alongside a tax qualification (CII, ACCA, CIOT, or equivalent).
  • Currently operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level.
  • A strong technical foundation combined with a commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Excitement about transitioning from practice into industry.

This role will be based in Scotland and offers hybrid working.
