Litigation Solicitor (In-House)
South Wales | Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)
£52,793 - £62,032 + Outstanding Benefits
Yolk Legal Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading South Wales organisation with the recruitment of a Litigation Solicitor to join its well-established in-house legal team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation solicitor looking to move in-house, or someone already in-house seeking a broader and more commercially focused role.
Working as part of a collaborative legal team, you'll play a key role in advising the business on debt recovery litigation, civil disputes and wider contentious matters, whilst partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice.
What you will be doing
As Litigation Solicitor, you will:
- Manage customer debt recovery litigation and enforcement matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Advise on a variety of civil litigation matters across the organisation.
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Instruct and manage external solicitors and Counsel where appropriate.
- Draft and review legal documentation, guidance notes and precedents.
- Support the development of debt recovery and collections strategies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise the business on regulatory developments.
- Mentor and support junior members of the legal team.
- Assist with complaints requiring legal interpretation and support wider legal projects.

What you will bring
You will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate.
- Around 3+ years' PQE (applications outside this range will also be considered).
- Experience in civil litigation, debt recovery, commercial litigation or enforcement work.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and advise stakeholders confidently.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to legal advice.
- Previous supervision or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
- Experience within a regulated industry would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
