Job Description: In-House Recruiter
Joseph Gallagher is the leading UK-based Civil Engineering & Tunnelling sub-contractor. Over the last 40 years, we have grown into an international business while maintaining an award-winning reputation and industry-leading safety culture. We play a critical role in numerous critical infrastructure projects.
Joining our growing team as an In-House Recruiter demands experience within the construction and/or civil engineering industries. Reporting to the Recruitment Lead, this role involves collaborating with the Labour Management team to identify resourcing needs and provide appropriately skilled labour for our projects efficiently. The goal is to ensure quality service delivery for both candidates and the business.

Assessing Labour Requirements
- Liaise with Labour Managers to identify gaps requiring external recruitment.

- Handle multiple vacancies, including:
- Creating job postings in the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- Ensuring accurate and representative job descriptions
- Advertising roles via:

- Industry job boards
- Social media channels

Candidate Sourcing
- Actively search for candidates on LinkedIn or other methods for niche roles.

- Pre-register and screen applicants by:
- Reviewing CVs
- Conducting telephone screening where relevant
- Shortlisting candidates for recruiting managers

Requirements
- Proven recruitment experience in the construction or civil engineering industry, either in-house or within a specialist recruitment agency.
