Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site In House Solicitor role based in Croydon. The solicitor will provide comprehensive legal support across the business, including advising on property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects, and drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, and other legal documents.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Managing conveyancing matters
- Supporting commercial real estate transactions
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Handling labor and employment law issues related to the in-house workforce
- Advising on housing contracts with local authorities
- Coordinating with external legal advisors when necessary
The solicitor will work closely with senior management and project teams to mitigate legal risks, support strategic decisions, and contribute to the company’s growth.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales and current practising certificate.
- Experience in Conveyancing, including residential and commercial property transactions.
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate law, particularly in development, office-to-residential conversions, and landlord/tenant matters.
- Understanding of Labor and Employment Law to support workforce-related matters and internal HR processes.
- Awareness of Family Law and related issues that may arise in housing and tenancy contexts.
- Experience in or strong interest in property investment, development, and housing contracts with local authorities.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract review skills, with strong attention to detail and risk management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous in-house experience or experience within a real estate or property-focused law firm is advantageous.
