The Role
We are looking for an In-Store VM Manager with a creative background to lead and develop our team in Manchester Trafford.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the workload of yourself and a team of Visual Merchandisers, ensuring resources are planned appropriately, to deliver commercial and inspiring layouts and mannequin dressings across all fashion floors, utilising Head Office Guidelines.
With a focus on both creativity and sales performance, you will coach your team and work alongside the store management team to push and improve sales. Strong communication skills will be essential in this. Your role will continue to help drive NEXT to the forefront of the High Street within the Retail Environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead and develop the workflow of a team of 3 In-Store Visual Merchandisers, planning and managing time across all fashion floors, whilst working alongside them
- Effective management of attendance, sickness, holidays, training, H&S and staff reviews
- Communicating the planned resources of the team with your manager as well as the store management team
- Accountability for supporting to deliver commercial layouts & delivering inspirational mannequin displays, ensuring head office guidelines are delivered
- Review the mannequin dressings in the store after main launch has taken place, allocating time to update dressings as new stock arrives or items sell out
- Ensuring key processes are followed by yourself and your team in the store, such as adding/removing lines & range plan management to support store replenishment procedures
- Ensuring all relevant marketing materials are out in store, and chasing this up with Head Office VM teams where required
- Support the development of the In-Store VMs by acting as a mentor and coach

Tasks
- Aid stores in the creation and implementation of phase change layouts in line with the retail critical path
- Continuously review stock packages and sales reporting tools to improve the stores layout and maximise sales
- Being the key point of contact for the Sales Management team in store, building strong working relationships
- Visit Head Office to receive guidance on VM & Mannequin guidelines for implementation in store
- Deputise for the Assistant Field VM Team Manager as and when required
- Ability to travel to other stores if required
What You’ll Bring
- Experience of leading the workflow of a team
- Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about VM, with experience of VM in the retail sector
- Ability to prioritise tasks for yourself and a team, and react quickly in a fast paced retail environment
- Have personal drive, motivation and resilience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- An aspirational and creative outlook with the ability to adapt layouts to the NEXT Brand.
- Excellent analytical skills with commercial data and retail reports
- Physical ability to lift and move stock, marketing and equipment as required
