Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift Patterns: Monday – Friday (Rotational Earliest and Latest)
Location: Skelmersdale – WN8 8DY

About the Role
The Inbound First Line Manager will oversee goods-in operations, including deliveries, palletisation, put-away, and stock control. You’ll lead a high-performing team, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of health and safety within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ownership & Key Responsibilities
- Manage Inbound Operations:
- Oversee high-volume receipt and processing of stock, including accurate system bookings and adherence to warehouse management protocols.
- Lead Staff & Drive Performance:
- Expertly delegate tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure productivity aligns with business targets and deadlines.
- Monitor Inbound KPIs:
- Track and report key metrics, communicate effectiveness, and hold regular team briefings to set clear expectations.
- Ensure Health & Safety Compliance:
- Maintain rigorous workplace safety standards and champion a culture of incident prevention.
- HRManagement (Optional but Required):
- Conduct 1-on-1s, performance reviews, manage absence, and address disciplinary matters, while championing engagement and team development.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The Inbound First Line Manager role is perfect for professionals who:
- Have proven experience managing or supervising teams in a high-volume warehouse environment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Understand and can illustrate expertise in goods-in processes, including palletisation, put-away, and precise stock recording.
- Demonstrate excellent IT literacy, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Are skilled in team leadership, delegation, motivation, and performance enhancement, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Exhibit confident communication skills, including KG reporting, KPI analysis, and transparent stakeholder engagement.
