Inbound Merchandising Manager Overview

A highly recognised and highly successful company is looking for an Inbound Merchandising Manager to join their dynamic team.

Inbound Merchandising Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage the Open-to-Buy (OTB) budget within agreed parameters, monitoring expenditure, identifying variances, and taking appropriate action to keep plans on track.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders in line with merchandise forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability.
  • Partner with the Merchandise team to establish, monitor, and improve key supply chain performance measures, balancing stock investment, cash flow, and customer service.
  • Analyse inventory performance to identify opportunities to improve availability, reduce excess or slow-moving stock, and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
  • Communicate stock, supplier, or delivery issues promptly to relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective resolution and minimising disruption to trading.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inbound Supply Chain team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and engaged culture.
  • Build strong working relationships across internal teams and with external partners to support effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by challenging existing processes and recommending more efficient ways of working.

  • You will have a proven background in supply inventory planning, stock management, or merchandising, with strong commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills.
  • You will also demonstrate:
    • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
    • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service and business outcomes.
