In this high-profile role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the organisation is ready to respond effectively to operational incidents, emergencies and major events. You'll provide strategic leadership, oversee a 24/7 incident response function, and help protect the delivery of essential services for our customers and communities.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex challenges, and can bring people together during critical situations, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the Control Room Management Team, you will:

  • Lead and develop our incident response and emergency preparedness strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end incident response process for significant business-impacting incidents.
  • Oversee a team of 24/7 Incident Controllers, ensuring effective incident coordination and escalation.
  • Develop, review and implement incident management, emergency planning and business continuity processes.
  • Lead post-incident reviews, lessons learned programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure emergency response arrangements, contingency plans and recovery capabilities remain effective and regularly tested.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem resolution activities across the business.
  • Develop and deliver training and development programmes to strengthen organisational resilience.
  • Represent the organisation at key external forums, including resilience and emergency planning groups.
  • Drive innovation and best practice in incident management, preparedness and organisational resilience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
