Grade 5 FTE £26,403 – £27,254 (pro-rata to £22,928 – £23,667, pending pay award)
About the Role
Cannock Chase High School is a vibrant and ambitious learning community seeking an Inclusion and Mentoring Officer with strong interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to build positive, professional, and supportive relationships with students while fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Under line management of the Inclusion and Mentoring Manager, the role involves:
- Re-integration support: Planning and facilitating the successful re-entry of students to mainstream schooling, ensuring tailored packages enable them to fulfil their potential.
- Solution-focused approach: Collaborating with school staff and external agencies to resolve challenges efficiently in a busy, high-priority school environment.
- Provision development: Contributing to the growth of the school’s inclusion team, offering high-quality student and stakeholder support, both within school and beyond.
- Experience required: Working with students demonstrating challenging behaviour or facing disadvantaged circumstances.
- Collaboration: Communicating effectively with school staff, external agencies, and systems such as Microsoft Office.
- Workload management: Prioritising tasks while maintaining dedication and hard work to support all students.
- School ethos: Alignment with the school’s focus on mutual respect, warmth, inclusivity, and exceptional student conduct.
